Shahkar (SRO) is a distinguished non-political, non-profit, and non-governmental local organization that was established in 2013 and registered with Ministry of Economy of Afghanistan. Founded by a group of highly educated and determined Afghan youth, Shahkar aims to contribute to the development of the country and prosperity of the nation by supporting developmental efforts and local communities.
Shahkar strives to work in various thematic areas such as poverty alleviation, human development, capacity building, health, education, research, environment and climate change.
Shahkar is dedicated to fostering inclusive economy and developing business models that actively engage impoverished populations in value chains as producers, employees, consumers, and entrepreneurs. Our ultimate goal is to alleviate poverty through sustainable economic integration and empowerment.
